Job Description

Beacon Hill Associates is seeking a highly organized Human Resources Coordinator for a contract position in Smyrna, GA. This role supports the Human Resources department throughout the employment lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, recordkeeping, compliance, and offboarding processes. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of HR functions, proficiency with HR systems, and strong administrative skills. This is an in-office, five-day-a-week opportunity.

Daily Duties:

  • Provide HR and benefits staff general support, including maintaining up-to-date employee records and ensuring confidentiality.
  • Monitor the main HR phone line, fax inbox, and email account; respond to general inquiries and escalate issues as needed.
  • Prescreen resumes, route them to hiring managers, and assist with job postings and background checks.
  • Support compliance processes, including I-9s, background screenings, and adherence to company and legal standards.
  • Assist in coordinating recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes while maintaining compliance at all stages.
  • Update HR systems with employee information, including benefits materials and access card creation.
  • Help plan and prepare for department meetings, events, and trainings.
  • Process mail, maintain office supplies, and ensure accurate coding and forwarding of invoices for payment.
  • Manage updates to HR forms, directories, organizational charts, and the HR web page.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proficiency with HRIS systems (experience with Paylocity is a plus) and computer literacy.
  • Familiarity with HR compliance processes, including I-9s, background checks, and offboarding.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and maintain accurate records.
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of employee benefits and onboarding/offboarding procedures.
