    Job Details
  • Registered Nurse specializing in oncology required for Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
  • Wilmington, North Carolina location.
  • Travel rate available for local travelers meeting start date conditions.
  • Travelers will be a part of a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team during catastrophic events.
  • Assigned to similar units and alternate care locations as needed.
  • Must attend monthly staff meetings.
  • Target Ratios: 1:6-7 on night shifts.
    Job Requirements
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year
  • Traveler Experience: Will accept 1st time travelers.
  • Locals Accepted with Rate Difference: Yes
  • Required Skills: Colostomy care, accessing ports, blood administration, central line, and PICC line management, chemotherapy administration, among others.
    Schedule Information
  • Shift: NIGHTS
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks or more until March 15, 2025
  • RTO: 7 days MAX
  • Holiday Work: NO CHRISTMAS RTO
  • Overtime details: If 48 hours week, no OT billed until after 48.
  • Call and Float Requirement: Call required if called off, floating to similar units necessary.
    Unit Specific Information
  • '***Primarily Medical Surgical patients with Oncology history and occasional Chemotherapy administration***
  • AKI, Sepsis, Cancer, Septic shock, Pain, OD, Malignant Neoplasms, ARF, Encephalopathy, FTT, Diabetic foot ulcers, Heparin drips among patient care responsibilities.
    Additional Details
  • Wearing navy blue and white scrubs is a requirement.
  • 24-hour unit orientation provided.
  • Pyxis medication system, EPIC documentation, SBAR communication protocol in use.
