Advantage Resourcing has a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Technician at a leading heavy fabrication and manufacturing company in Abilene, TX. Pay: $20.00/hr
Shift: Fri-Sun and Mon-Thurs, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for installing, dismantling, and repairing equipment, including weld power supplies, Bevellers, and flux handling systems. You will assist in troubleshooting and maintaining hydraulic, electric, and pneumatic equipment, while performing basic maintenance tasks and following work instructions. Operating a variety of tools and yard equipment, such as drills, welders, cutting torches, and forklifts, will be essential to your role. Additionally, you will write maintenance reports, communicate technical issues effectively, and perform material handling duties as needed. Ensuring that safety protocols are followed, including the proper use of PPE and equipment certification, will be a critical part of your responsibilities.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED (Associate's degree or certifications a plus).
  • 3+ years of electrical maintenance experience, with knowledge of mechanical systems.
  • Skilled with tools/equipment such as drill presses, welders, and cutting torches.
  • Preferred experience with inventory, parts, or part assembly.
  • Forklift and vertical/basket lift certified (or able to obtain after hire).
  • Overhead crane certification may be required.
  • Strong math skills, including basic arithmetic and reading technical diagrams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Ability to stand, bend, twist, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and vibrations in a manufacturing environment.
  • PPE required in manufacturing areas.
