Assist in operations and maintain mechanical equipment. Help to maintain electrical systems, lighting fixtures, and electrical components of machinery and equipment. Install temporary utilities as events dictate.nnYOUR RESPONSIBILITIES :nn(Any one position may not include all of the duties listed, nor do the listed examples include all duties which may be found in positions of this class.)nnAssist Operations Manager to supervise and schedule the operations staff.nnAssist with general repairs on the building. (I.E. Drywall and paint patches, pluming maintenance and repairs. PVC and copper)nnService and maintain lighting fixtures while keeping an organized inventory of supplies. (I.E. Light bulbs.)nnCarpet cleaning program along with maintenance and service of carpet cleaning systems.nnHelp maintain and repair custodial equipment. (I.E. Vacuums & floor cleaners.)nnVisually inspect equipment at periodic intervals to detect malfunctions or need for repair, adjustment or lubrication.nnRecord operation and maintenance actions taken during shift in operator logbook.nnSupport conference center events by temporarily installing and dismantling utilities (I.E. elec trical wheels & audio/visual) as events dictate.nnSupport conference center client needs for events. (I.E. Hanging banners, moving materials, etc...)nnOther duties as assigned by supervisor, which include assisting other departments with regard to maintenance and event services.nnABOUT YOU :nnEducation: High school graduation or equivalent.nnExperience: 1 year experience in general maintenance.nnKnowledge: Computer applications including Word, Excel, are preferred.nnGeneral safety knowledge of boom lifts, scissor lifts, ladders and forklifts.nnSkills: Public relations and sound decision making in stressful situations.nnAbilities: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees in the organization.nnYOUR SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS :nnMust possess a valid Utah Driver's License and have a good driving record.nnUniform and professional appearance is required.nnWork irregular hours as required by event schedule, including evenings, weekends, and possible holidays.nnAbility to lift 70lbs and climb stairs.nnMust be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.nnPHYSICAL DEMANDS :nnThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
