Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)Job DescriptionnnWe are seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at a high-volume, trauma level III hospital. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing age-specific direct patient care functions, contributing to high levels of customer satisfaction in a cost-effective manner.nnResponsibilitiesnnProvide direct patient care functions to meet the goals of Patient Care Services.nnPerform a variety of tasks to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.nnWork within the scope of competency and float to other areas as needed.nnEnsure accurate data entry and maintain medical records.nnAssist with patient care, including medical and customer service duties.nnEssential SkillsnnMinimum one (1) year experience as a Nursing Attendant in an acute hospital, skilled nursing, extended care, or convalescent care setting.nnState Certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of a Nursing Attendant course or current enrollment in an approved RN or LVN program.nnBasic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).nnFull command of the English language, both written and spoken.nnAdditional Skills & QualificationsnnMedical terminology knowledge.nnExperience in data entry and customer service.nnCertification as a Certified Nursing Assistant may be required as specified by the Medical Center.nnBilingual Spanish skills may be required for some positions.nnWillingness to be trained on computer systems.nnWork EnvironmentnnThis position is based in a fast-paced, high-volume, trauma level III hospital. The work schedule includes 3-day, 12-hour shifts (8:00 am - 8:00 pm or 8:00 pm - 8:00 am). CNAs will receive their schedules well in advance to plan accordingly. If the twelve (12) hour option is chosen, the shift will be 8:00 pm – 8:30 am with an 8-hour backup shift from 12:00 am – 8:30 am.
