As the Export Order Specialist, you will manage international orders, placing them at the appropriate sourcing site, entering them into our Oracle ERP system, and following up on order releases. We ask that you have a thoughtful understanding of compliance guidelines, regulations, experience, and judgment for screening customers and products. The specialist must achieve customer satisfaction while following regulatory requirements. You will respond to customer requests, orders and questions promptly, maintaining high levels of service and quality. Additionally, reporting directly to the Export Compliance Supervisor the role includes general administrative assistant tasks and timekeeping responsibilities for Refinish sites. Export order entry comprises about 75% of the role, with the remaining 25% dedicated to admin/timekeeping tasks. Key Responsibilities Determine if customer orders can be shipped internationally per PPG Export Compliance guidelines, US government regulations, PPG Product stewardship requirements, financial status, and other export considerations. Deliver approved purchase orders for US goods to sourcing locations and enter them into the Oracle ERP system. Maintain customer and product databases in ERP and Transportation Management Systems for established business segments, including lead times and sourcing information. Manage customer and country-specific requirements, translating purchase order details to operating systems at each plant or sourcing location. Reconcile timesheets for Refinish sites and resolve timekeeping discrepancies. Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent. Experience for IT tools (Excel (can perform complex functions), PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) Working knowledge of US export compliance. At least two (2) years of experience in export compliance customer service, with knowledge of business-to-business customer service and international order processing. Oracle ERP knowledge.
