Job Title: Certified PhlebotomistJob Type: Full TimeLocation: Fairfield VA Outpatient Clinic, Travis Air Force Base, Fairfield, CA 94535Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.mDuties:Verify patient identity by confirming two (2) patient identifiers (name, date of birth, and/or social security number) before collecting specimens.Perform venipuncture following published laboratory procedures.Collect adequate and properly labeled specimens.Perform waived and/or non-waived testing.Process specimens for testing and/or shipment to another laboratory.Qualifications:Certification: Must hold and maintain a current certificate by the State of California as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician.Experience: Minimum of one (1) year direct patient care experience performing venipunctures in a clinic or hospital setting.Health Tests: Current within one (1) year tuberculosis testing, rubella testing, and immunizations.
