Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:40 PM
Hours: 32-40 Hours Per Week
Pay: $30/hour - $32/hour
About the Role:
As a Credentialing Specialist at (Hospital Name), you will play a vital role in ensuring the medical staff and allied health staff are properly credentialed and licensed. Your responsibilities will include coordinating credentialing activities, providing administrative support, and assisting with various medical staff committees.
Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate credentialing activities for medical staff and allied health staff.
• Provide administrative support to credentials committees and departments.
• Process requests for temporary, additional, and one-time privileges.
• Verify professional liability coverage, medical licensure, board certifications, and other certifications.
• Assist with Joint Commission accreditation preparation.
• Coordinate on-call schedules, department director elections, and committee rosters.
• Assist with medical staff events and functions.

• 5+ years of experience in hospital/health system credentialing physicians and/or advanced practice staff.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Understanding of Joint Commission accreditation rules, privileging, license verification, board certifications, and provider licensing.
• Excellent verbal, written, and telephone communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently.
• Strong computer experience with database management, Microsoft Office, and Windows applications.
• Experience with Joint Commission and other healthcare regulatory bodies.
