Position Summary: The Pharmacy Clerk is responsible for performing daily, routine tasks in the pharmacy such as answering the phone, responding to customer requests, running the register, maintaining the over the counter area, and other clerical duties. Follows organization and department procedures to complete tasks in a timely manner. Order, receive, price and put stock into inventory.+ Maintains and orders non-billable pharmacy supplies. Oral syringes, bags, vials, etc.+ Performs a variety of non-prescription data entry and report generating tasks.+ Enters charges and credits for accurate adjudication and reconciliation of patient accounts and third-party claims billing as appropriate.+ Handle all preparation for mailing, delivery and curbside delivery of prescriptions.+ Ring all A/R payments, 3rd party payments and end of month payments into register.+ Manage all returns to the pharmacy distribution center.+ Responsible for training and supervising volunteers.+ Maintain the OTC area for cleanliness and stock.+ Regularly check for outdated OTC products.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities+ Strong business acumen, communication and interpersonal skills.+ Ability to work in a busy and stressful environment with varied shifts.
