Explore this opportunity with Psomas and apply today!About being our Mechanical Inspector As our Mechanical Inspector, you will join the Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) project team of 40+ planners, architects, engineers, and other technical professionals to plan & design their next wave of capital investments, including airfield improvements, terminal improvements, infrastructure improvements, and more.Responsibility Highlights for our Mechanical Inspector Possess a thorough knowledge of the materials and methods used in the installation of plumbing, heating, air conditioning and refrigeration installationsPossess the ability to diagnose hazards of unsanitary conditions caused by faulty materials or poor workmanship.Document daily progress of work and inspect construction activities by applying knowledge of the materials and methods used in the installation of plumbing, heating, air conditioning and refrigeration installations;Diagnose and document hazards of unsanitary conditions caused by faulty materials or poor workmanship.Mechanical Inspectors must have the ability to set priorities, the ability to make decisions and work effectively with minimal supervision, the ability to deal tactfully and effectively with LAWA stakeholders, contractors, construction workers, the public and must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.Minimum Qualifications to be our Mechanical Inspector High school diploma or GEDCurrent ICC Certification as a Commercial Mechanical Inspector30-hour Cal-OSHA training prior to assignment.
