Santa Panza is an casual Italian/Pizza restaurant in Bushwick offering authentic Italian cuisine inspired by the flavorful, approachable food we grew up eating.
We are looking to hire a head chef for Santa Panza who will help us grow, and grow with us!
Qualifications:
- 5 plus years restaurant experience
- Culinary training / education preferred
- Available to work lunch and dinner shifts, Weekends and Holidays
- Food handlers license required
- Demonstrate a passion for food
- Love teaching and leading a team
Responsibilities include:
- Management of all Kitchen staff
- Supervising the cleanliness, sanitation standards and organization of the Kitchen
- Quality control & maintaining high standards
- Must be able to lead by example and cook professionally
- Daily Production
- Daily Ordering
- Working the Line as necessary
- Training of staff
- Assist in menu development, scheduling, inventory, food and labor costs
- Alert the owners of problems before they happen, assist in resolving problems
- Lead the staff in following the standards for food handling according to the Executive Chefs specifications
