Job Description

Position Purpose:

The Safety Representative is responsible for supporting the HSE team of a 24/7 operation campus. The campus includes an RLT drug manufacturing plant (USID) and an RLT isotope manufacturing plant (USII). The responsibilities of this individual will change as the campus grows, develops, and matures.


Essential Functions:

  • Provide technical expertise, assistance, and/or oversight for the HSE programs at the campus
  • Support incident investigations and corrective/preventive action implementation
  • Maintain knowledge of and ensure strict adherence to all applicable regulatory compliance standards and internal company standards for HSE
  • Assist with developing and monitoring the campus permit-to-work program and other relevant safety programs
  • Assist the Radiation Safety Officers and Hazardous Waste Vendor as needed
  • Supplement HSE coverage as needed


Other duties:

  • Assist the HSE Team with Audits by regulators and internal personnel


Required Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Health & Safety, Engineering, Health Physics, or related field
  • Experience in an FDA-regulated, quality environment
  • Experience in developing and implementing HSE programs
  • Construction and General Industry OSHA requirements
  • Technical Writing


Preferred Education and/or Experience:

  • Radiation Safety
  • ASP, CSP, or CIH certification
  • Hazardous Waste Management
  • Environmental Compliance
  • Additional HSE Regulations (EPA, NRC, DOT, etc.)
