RNA Platform Manager
Life Science people has partnered with an RNA-centric biotech company seeking an RNA Platform Manager . This biotech specializes in developing cutting-edge RNA technologies used by leading biopharma companies and top academic researchers to accelerate the development of next-generation RNA-based medicines. These include mRNA therapeutics and vaccines, siRNAs, ASOs, RNA-targeted small molecules, and gene-editing platforms. As a dynamic and fast-growing organization, team members play a pivotal role in driving the company’s growth and success.
About the Role
The RNA Platform Manager will support a collaborative partnership platform designed to advance RNA-based medicines. This individual will foster and manage relationships with academics, biotech firms, and pharmaceutical companies working on the next wave of vaccines and therapies. Key responsibilities include presenting the company’s capabilities, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring the success of partnerships by coordinating with internal teams to draft project proposals and statements of work.
The ideal candidate will have a strong scientific background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for RNA’s transformative potential in medicine.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver scientific presentations and seminars at regional and international conferences (up to 20% travel).
- Lead pre-partnership meetings and presentation calls with potential clients.
- Draft project proposals and statements of work for collaborations.
- Address technical inquiries related to experimental design and sample preparation.
- Contribute to creating marketing collateral to position the partnership platform for different market segments.
- Collect and organize customer project details and inquiries to ensure alignment with internal teams.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (PhD or MSc) in Molecular or Cell Biology, or a related discipline, with at least one year of industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of RNA biology.
- Experience in technical marketing, business development, or customer service.
- Exceptional presentation skills, including the ability to convey complex data to non-technical audiences.
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience in RNA-based medicine development (e.g., vaccines, protein or gene replacement therapies, CAR-T).
- Familiarity with ribosome profiling, RNA structure assays, and/or immunoprecipitation assays.
- Experience drafting statements of work and project proposals.
