I am excited to be partnered with my client, a global, privately-held Medical Communications agency, on their search for a detail-oriented + enthusiastic Client Services Director to join their top-tier Client Services team. Since being founded the team has seen phenomenal and sustained organic growth, working across Medical Affairs, Publications, Promotional, Commercial and Regulatory spaces for their roster of blue-chip pharmaceutical companies and biotech's!


Continuing their growth, the team are excited to bring on someone new to join their Director-level leadership team, in the form of an Client Services Director! As Client Service Director, you'll bring a wealth of experience in the medical communications industry, leading and driving multiple accounts with finesse. Job Description:

  • Proactively manage client relationships, ensuring satisfaction with services.
  • Utilize extensive therapeutic and medical education tactics experience.
  • Provide strategic and operational direction to account teams.
  • Anticipate and address client needs with minimal guidance.
  • Implement quality standards and best practices.
  • Effectively drive projects, ensuring the highest standards are met.
  • Lead strategic discussions and routine client/agency reviews.
  • Collaborate with the scientific team lead to optimize resources.
  • Drive actions forward, maintaining a solution-focused approach.
  • Oversee account financials and business unit KPIs.
  • Work closely with the VP, Client Services to set revenue targets.
  • Responsible for accurate account and business unit forecasting.
  • Drive new business opportunities and actively lead pitches.
  • Manage team resourcing needs in conjunction with VPs.
  • Contribute to the career development of direct reports and their teams.
  • Line manage multiple team members, providing constructive feedback.
  • Coach and mentor agency-wide, forming excellent senior-level relationships.


Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of 9 years' experience working within Medical Communications
  • Experience working and thriving in client-facing roles within fast-paced agencies
  • Strong relationship building and strengthening skills, with both clients and HCPs
  • Has a high level of scientific knowledge
  • Experience managing teams and collaborating effectively with wider business units such as scientific and creative
