We are seeking an experienced Traveling Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects across various locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to lead and coordinate a diverse team of subcontractors, suppliers, and onsite personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of construction projects from start to finish.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, and coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Manage daily operations on the construction site.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular site inspections and maintain detailed reports.
- Lead and manage onsite construction teams, including subcontractors and laborers.
- Facilitate effective communication between all stakeholders.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction.
- Monitor work progress and ensure adherence to design specifications and standards.
- Perform quality control inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented as needed.
- Maintain project documentation and records accurately.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients on the job site.
- Provide regular updates to clients and address any concerns promptly.
- Foster positive relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Willingness to travel extensively to various project sites as needed.
- Ability to stay onsite for the duration of the project.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, preferably with experience in managing hotel renovations.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in construction management software and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
- Certifications: OSHA certification, First Aid/CPR certification, and other relevant certifications are a plus.
