What You'll Do:
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and inspire warehouse staff, including task delegation, shift scheduling, and ongoing training.
- Implement Lean tools such as 5S and Kaizen to boost team productivity and operational efficiency.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and foster a positive team environment.
Lean Process Optimization
- Identify process improvements to reduce waste, enhance inventory accuracy, and streamline operations.
- Leverage tools like value stream mapping and root cause analysis to optimize workflows and resolve inefficiencies.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement by engaging the team in Kaizen activities and improvement initiatives.
Inventory Management
- Oversee inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Collaborate with inventory teams to maintain stock levels and align inventory practices with Lean principles.
- Utilize data-driven methods to eliminate waste and improve inventory accuracy.
Shipping & Receiving
- Ensure accurate and efficient shipping and receiving processes, minimizing errors and maximizing throughput.
- Verify shipments for accuracy and oversee proper handling, labeling, and storage.
Safety & Compliance
- Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring adherence to OSHA, CTPAT, and other regulatory standards.
- Lead safety initiatives, conduct regular inspections, and oversee the maintenance of equipment.
- Champion workplace safety through proactive measures and team training.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work cross-functionally with purchasing, production, and sales teams to ensure seamless communication and operational alignment.
- Prepare and present reports on operational metrics, inventory status, and continuous improvement initiatives.
About you:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years experience with Lean or CI initiatives.
- Proficiency in 5S, Kaizen
- Strong knowledge of WMS and ERP systems, with expertise in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
