Manager Medical Communications – Immunology
Hybrid Position in Horsham, PA
Job Description:
The Manager, Medical Communications applies their product and disease expertise to develop customer materials for use in response to unsolicited medical information requests, conduct training sessions on scientific/product knowledge, and peer review promotional and sales assets for accuracy.
Manager Level Key Responsibilities:
- Develops medical information materials - Builds and maintains standard replies, formulary dossiers, slide decks and clinical presentations in support of customer needs. Provides Medical Information booth support at major scientific meetings. Supports new product launches.
- Reviews documents for medical accuracy – Conducts peer review of scientific documents and provides medical guidance for development or review of promotional or sales training assets.
- Conducts training sessions for scientific knowledge – Prepares and reviews product training materials for sales, Medical Information contact center team, and other internal business partners. Provides initial and ongoing training for new hires and students/fellows.
- Handles advanced scientific inquiries – Applies scientific and therapeutic area knowledge to respond to advanced, non-standard, and afterhours medical information inquiries.
- Participates in project teams and manages selected Medical Information vendor projects – Provides mentorship and oversight of clinical response creation and dossier development, as needed.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy is required.
- A PharmD is highly preferred
- A Drug Information or clinical residency/fellowship is preferred.
- A minimum of 4, 5, 6 years of drug information/medical information or comparable experience within the health care/clinical/hospital environment is required.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct literature analysis is required.
- Experience developing responses to scientific inquiries from healthcare professionals and/or consumers is required
- Shows strength in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required
- Immunology and Oncology experience is preferred
- Project management/team leadership experience is preferred
- Proven creative problem solving and understanding of customer needs is highly desired.
- Will be doing medical writing
- Working closely with call center as needed with training
