Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic, motivated, and detail-oriented Learning and Development (L&D) Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the execution of the learning strategy that is developed by the Director of Learning & Development. This individual will be responsible for supporting the design, scheduling, and delivery of training programs to enhance the skills, knowledge, and performance of employees at all levels. This position plays a critical role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and aligns closely with our company’s core values: Professionalism, Customer Focus, Collaboration, Take it Personal, Make it Better, and Open Minded.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Instructional Design: Develop and adapt engaging, learner-focused content in various formats, including workshops, e-learning modules, and other blended learning experiences that support employee development.
  • Program Scheduling and Coordination: Coordinate and manage the logistics of L&D programs, including scheduling training sessions, booking venues, and managing registrations to ensure smooth program delivery.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), managers, and employees to understand training needs, gather feedback, and make continuous improvements to programs.
  • Training Delivery Support: Support the facilitation of training sessions and workshops, ensuring a professional learning environment for both in-person and virtual sessions.
  • Evaluation and Improvement: Gather feedback and measure the impact of training programs on employee performance, using insights to enhance the quality and effectiveness of future programs.
  • Resource Management: Develop and maintain a consistent way to manage resources. Maintain training resources, including participant guides, presentations, and multimedia materials, ensuring they are up-to-date, accessible, and aligned with company standards.
  • Systems Implementation: Support system research and ultimate implementation for a Learning Management System. Partner with the total HR function to cooperatively support systems integration for the function.

Required Qualifications:

- Entry to mid-level experience in learning and development or instructional design

- Proven experience in scheduling, coordinating, and managing training programs

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and learning management systems (LMS)

- Ability to understand and cooperatively build out technical career paths and appropriate trainings

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field

- Familiarity with e-learning design tools such as Articulate, Captivate, or similar platforms

- Experience in data collection and analysis for measuring intervention effectiveness

- Certification in instructional design, learning & development, or related credentials

- Knowledge of adult learning theories
