Kelly Engineering is seeking a Field Service Technician to join one of our leading clients in the Fire/Life Safety industry within their Michigan market. (Headquartered in Wixom, MI)

Ideal Candidate :

• 2+ years industry experience in Fire / Life Safety systems install, troubleshooting, and/or preventative maintenance.
• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, testing and troubleshooting.
• Ability to travel, but home most nights.
• NICET Certification is a plus.

Job Requirements:

Tools & Equipment:

• Proficient with common electrical installation tools, including power and manual hand tools.
• Skilled in using electronic test meters for verification and troubleshooting of wiring issues.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds, climb ladders, and work at heights up to 30 feet.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in laptop computer operation and software applications (Windows, Outlook).
• Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals and troubleshoot problems effectively.

Communication & Safety:

• Strong customer communication skills.
• Adherence to safety practices to prevent injuries and property damage.

Education & Certification:

• Associate’s Degree in Electronics or Electrical Trades training.
• Experience in low voltage wiring/cable installation (fire alarm or security systems preferred).
• NICET II Fire Alarm Certification is a plus.
