This position will be responsible for leading the legal and risk management functions of our organization and play an important role in the future of our company. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the in-house Legal function. Identify and safeguard against legal risks. Provide guidance on legal matters

• Ensure the company is legally compliant in order to operate across the US and Canada. State registrations, dealer license, etc. Develop processes that ensure compliance going forward

• Act as internal legal point person for all capital transactions including debt transactions and any potential equity transactions

• Draft and review all legal documents – customer contracts, vendor contracts, and employee agreements, etc

• Manage all IP and Trademarks (with Director of Marketing and Communications)

• Manage litigation, arbitration, and disputes

• Negotiate on behalf of the Company as needed

• Coordinate with external counsel as needed

• Lead the Risk Management function.

o Outline/develop our Risk Management processes

o Ensure appropriate type and amounts of insurance

o Manage all customer accidents and related legal action

o Develop a process for capturing customer Certificates of Insurance

• Key member of the Human Resources function. Ensure employee related compliance across all applicable jurisdictions and with internal policies

• Review and modify company policies. Develop or document policies/agreements where needed

Qualifications:

• At least 10 years of progressive legal experience

• Law firm experience

• Corporate law experience

• Excellent communication, administration and organizational skills

• BS degree in Law
