Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of this position is to conduct preclinical in vivo positron emission tomography (PET) imaging studies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support preclinical imaging studies in rodents and large animals, including radiotracer/contrast agent formulation, administration, image data acquisition, and blood sampling.
- Operate state-of-the-art imaging systems (Mediso LFER 150 PET/CT, Siemens Inveon PET/CT, Bruker MRI systems).
- Function as the study coordinator for multiple imaging studies and ensure high-quality protocols.
- Perform analysis of imaging data and blood/tissue samples using specialized software.
- Maintain imaging equipment in collaboration with vendor teams and ensure safety in handling radioactive materials.
- Communicate results to team members and contribute to study reports.
Education & Qualifications:
- BS in pharmacology, biochemistry, cell/molecular biology, or related field with 5+ years of experience, or MS with 3+ years of experience.
- Experience with animal handling and molecular imaging or in vivo pharmacology.
- Pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with radioactivity preferred; willingness and ability to work with radioactive materials required.
