Who you are:


The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and proven leader, preferably a leader of leaders as well, with an operations-focused background, particularly in high-growth or scaling manufacturing environments. This individual should ideally have experience in chemical manufacturing or similar industries. The successful candidate will have a strategic mindset and a track record of driving operational improvements and efficiency. They should be able to identify opportunities beyond the initial strategy, bringing an innovative approach to problem-solving.


The firm seeks someone who can manage the day-to-day operations while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Key responsibilities will include overseeing production processes, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and optimizing production to meet growth objectives. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and team management experience, including hiring, training, and motivating a high-performing workforce. This role requires a hands-on leader who can collaborate effectively across departments and inspire operational excellence to support GreenMantra’s innovative goal.


The impact you will have:


The plant manager will oversee all manufacturing plant areas and develop operations, processes, and procedures to align with the company's long-term strategic goals.

• The role will involve managing the Production, including an Operations Manager and Shift Supervisors.

• The Plant Manager will initially support operations, focusing on P&L responsibility for the Brantford facility, with the potential for expanded responsibilities as the business grows.

• This position will emphasize safety processes, optimize plant efficiency, and support operational expansion, including adding a fifth production line running 24/7.


Opportunity


The firm is seeking a Plant Manager to lead and optimize manufacturing operations as part of the company’s continued growth. This leadership role involves managing a growing team of 25-30 to implement strategic initiatives and achieve financial performance objectives. The Plant Manager will report to the VP of Operations and act as a change leader focused on people,

safety, key performance indicators (KPIs), continuous improvement, and strategic leadership.


What are we looking for?

  1. Overall 10+ years’ experience in manufacturing/operations management, preferably in chemicals manufacturing, forming, packaging, colour/compounding, or other similar industries.
  2. Proven experience managing and guiding managers, supervisors and team members, fostering collaboration across departments, and developing a positive workplace culture. This includes experience in mentoring and coaching.
  3. Track record in process improvement application: Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing and process improvement methodologies, with a solid background in materials management and efficient production practices.
  4. Familiarity with ISO quality management systems and compliance standards, ensuring all operations meet industry-specific regulatory requirements.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-resolution skills at both a strategic and functional level.
  6. Bachelor’s degree in engineering- Preferable Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
