Job Description:
As a Baker at Cheong Su, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of pastries, breads, and other baked goods. You’ll work with high-quality ingredients to produce products that meet our standards of taste, texture, and appearance. You’ll also ensure that our bakery is clean, organized, and operates smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including breads, pastries, cakes, and cookies.
- Follow recipes and ensure the consistent quality and presentation of all products.
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes and production schedules.
- Ensure that baked goods are fresh, attractive, and ready for display or customer orders.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the kitchen.
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering ingredients and supplies.
- Follow food safety guidelines and sanitation procedures.
- Work efficiently to meet production goals, especially during peak hours.
- Collaborate with the team to develop new baked goods or seasonal offerings.
- Assist with packaging and labeling products for retail or customer orders.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef, or in a similar baking role preferred (but not required).
- Knowledge of baking techniques and methods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
