We’re seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our kitchen team. The ideal candidate is a seasoned culinary professional and an inspiring leader who can mentor our talented staff and consistently deliver exceptional dining experiences. Our perfect candidate is a hands-on chef, comfortable at the expo line or working prep. There’s room for creativity, but 360 Bistro has a well-established style and repertoire that our loyal guests love.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Menu Development:** Innovate and design seasonal menus that reflect our commitment to giving our guests what they want while incorporating contemporary culinary trends.
- **Leadership:** Lead, motivate, and develop a team of culinary professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Our fantastic kitchen crew is open to new leadership.
- **Quality Control:** Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and taste are consistently maintained.
- **Cost Management:** Oversee food cost control, inventory management, and kitchen budget adherence. We shoot for 33%.
- **Vendor Relations:** Build and maintain strong relationships with local farmers, suppliers, and purveyors. We have great relationships and terms with several top suppliers, including Chef’s Garden, Wulf’s in Boston, Pierless out of NYC, and Allen Brothers out of Chicago. We source excellent ingredients around this core and work closely with Chef’s Warehouse/Creation to augment.
- **Health & Safety:** Uphold strict adherence to health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and safe kitchen environment.
**Qualifications:**
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar leadership role within a high-end restaurant.
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized institution.
- Strong understanding of farm-to-table and sustainable culinary practices, with a strong mastery of seafood.
- Exceptional palate with the ability to create innovative and delicious dishes. Experience with wine and wine pairing is a strong requirement. We offer regular high-end wine dinners where your creativity is free to run rampant.
- Proven track record of successfully managing kitchen operations, including budgeting and cost control.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
**What We Offer:**
- Competitive salary and benefits package, commensurate with experience and vision for roles within the kitchen. A suitable range is $80,000-$125,000.
