Location: Brasstown, NC
Salary: $48,000-$60,000 (depending on experience)
Bonus Plan: Based on cash flow and growth
Relocation Allowance: Up to $1,000
PTO: 10 days annually
Work Schedule: Open Wednesday-Saturday for dinner, Sunday for brunch

We are looking for a talented Executive Chef to help us reach the next level of excellence and become a true destination for food lovers.
Who We Are Looking For:
We are seeking an Executive Chef who is not only skilled in traditional Southern Appalachian cuisine but is also creative, innovative, and passionate about leading a team. The right candidate will have experience in culinary leadership, thrive in a collaborative environment, and share our commitment to community-focused food and sustainability. As Executive Chef, you will have the autonomy to drive the restaurant's creative direction, from menu development to kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and inspire the kitchen team to maintain high culinary standards and a positive work culture
- Develop and refine the restaurant’s menu, focusing on seasonal ingredients and local sourcing
- Estimate food consumption, purchase food, and maintain inventory
- Standardize recipes and ensure consistent food quality and presentation
- Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring proper equipment maintenance, safety, and sanitation protocols are followed
- Plan and price menus to ensure profitability and align with the restaurant’s vision
- Supervise kitchen personnel, including hiring, training, and conducting performance reviews
- Represent The Crown at marketing events and media opportunities
- Oversee special events, catering, and possibly offer culinary instruction or demonstrations
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to maintain and motivate a cohesive team under pressure
- Strong background in kitchen management, menu development, and culinary creativity
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with restaurant owners and staff
- Passionate about food, sustainability, and community-building
- Experience with gluten-free cuisine is a plus, but not required
- Ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
