Our client, a top-tier law firm in Toronto is seeking a talented associate with 3-7 years of experience in corporate, M&A, and commercial law to join their exceptional team.

Compensation

Our client pays on the Bay Street Grid.

Working arrangements

The role is hybrid with 3 days per week in office.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle a range of corporate and M&A transactions, focusing on clients within the financial services and insurance sectors.
• Advise clients on commercial arrangements, business structuring, and regulatory compliance, including insurance regulation.
• Support and collaborate on high-stakes transactions and ensure seamless management of deal processes.
• Work directly with clients to deliver strategic, business-focused solutions on insurance and reinsurance matters.
• Engage in professional development to keep up-to-date with emerging trends and regulatory changes within the financial services industry.
• Qualifications
• 3-7years of post-call experience in corporate, M&A, and commercial law, gained from private practice or as in-house counsel.
• Background in financial services regulation, particularly within the insurance sector, is a significant asset.
• Exceptional project management and communication skills, with an eagerness to learn and tackle new challenges.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within deadlines.
