Human Resources Manager – Relocation Required (Assistance Provided)
Are you a seasoned HR professional looking for a leadership opportunity in a dynamic and collaborative environment? Our client is seeking a talented Human Resources Manager to join their team and drive strategic HR initiatives. This full-time position is based in a few hours outside of Calgary , with relocation assistance provided.
About the Role
As the Human Resources Manager, you will lead the HR function, supporting organizational growth and ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you’ll play a key role in fostering a high-performance culture, managing HR policies and programs, and delivering innovative solutions in areas such as recruitment, retention, training, and compliance.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute HR strategies that align with business goals and support organizational culture.
- Partner with site leadership to anticipate and meet current and future HR needs.
- Lead key HR functions, including talent management, succession planning, total rewards, and employee development.
- Oversee the implementation of HR policies, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and organizational standards.
- Manage departmental budgets, including employee cost forecasting and expense control.
- Actively engage in global HR initiatives and collaborate with other teams to share best practices.
- Monitor and report on HR effectiveness through key performance indicators.
About You
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:
- A post-secondary degree in Human Resources or Business Management.
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a mid-to-senior management role.
- A strong understanding of Alberta employment law and HR best practices.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage conflicts and lead through change.
- A commitment to fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
A Certified Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is considered an asset.
