This role is 2nd Shift, Monday through Friday 3:00p-12:30a and based at our Deep Eddy Vodka location in Buda, Texas. What the Role Is The Industrial Maintenance Technician, working independently on 2nd Shift, serves as a subject matter expert and member of the production team reporting directly to the Supervising Maintenance Engineer as it relates to the maintenance of the industrial equipment essential to produce the product. This position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and preventive maintenance systems, and processes to support the achievement of business goals.
How You Will Spend Your Time? - Perform routine repairs and maintain all equipment to enhance efficiency and prevent malfunctions that could lead to production downtime and costly repairs
- Troubleshoot malfunctions and locate source of problems by examining equipment and mechanical devices
- Participate in the purchasing of new machinery and equipment, contacting equipment manufacturers to understand equipment capabilities and to order parts, using independent judgment of the needs of the business
- Assist in line changes and process improvements the impact production costs
- Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop equipment
- Clean equipment, lubricate moving parts, change fluids, modify equipment and replace parts and components as required
- Maintain records of all maintenance activities
- Conduct preventive maintenance measures on structures, equipment, electrical, plumbing as well as facilities
- Control the cost of downtime by informing production employees of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitor compliance
- Maintain equipment, parts and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory levels and anticipating required equipment, parts and supplies
- Assist in the daily operation and direction of the maintenance function including setting priorities and troubleshooting problems that could cause production schedule failures
- Act as a lead on designated activities and interface with operators and external contacts in the accomplishment of organizational goals and objectives.
- Support and contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results and training production employees on efficient operation and basic routine maintenance procedures
- Maintain positive work environment by performing and communicating in a manner that promotes good relationships with co-workers, customers, clients and management

Who You Are... - Associate's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Maintenance, or equivalent certification
- Minimum 4 years of manufacturing maintenance experience, including strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience
- Working knowledge of preventive/predictive maintenance techniques
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of maintenance procedures and interpretation of written and oral directions, including blueprints, construction plans, drawings, assembly instructions
- Working knowledge of machine tools including conveyors, packaging equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
- Proficient with MIG and TIG Welding
- Must possess excellent communication skills, problem solving and troubleshooting skills, and a work history that demonstrates a good work ethic, excellent attendance and the ability to contribute to the production of a quality product safely
- High degree of initiative, creativity, self-direction, and respect for the safety rules and procedures
- Good interpersonal skills and able to work well in a team environment
- Must have good oral and written communication skills to effectively direct and provide instruction to others
- Must be capable of making timely decisions utilizing logic and sound judgment that affects the profit and loss of the business
- Depending on business needs, this position could either be on an 8-hour shift (5+ days per week), 10-hour shift or a 12-hour shift
- Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays as required
Valued but not Required Skills and Experience:
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing continuous improvement techniques
