DescriptionnnOverviewnnDevelopmental Disabilities Institute, DDI, is one of the largest providers of care to children and adults with Autism, developmental disabilities and other special needs. DDI has been a part of Long Island for over 50 years serving over 1,500 children and adults with Autism, other developmental disabilities and special needs. DDI provides innovative and expansive services to our population through various educational settings, residential services, day habilitation programs and vocational services.nnSalary: $20.20 - $24.24 / hournnSplit-shift schedule to be discussednnResponsibilitiesnnResponsible for daily supervision of staff activities; evaluation and administration of disciplinary actionnnKnowledge of Emergency Procedures and accurate implementation of procedures in handling crisis situations as they arisennAMAP Certification - Obtain within the first 90 days in position and keep currentnnTrain and supervise new staff to work with individual(s) served, and ensure active treatment for the shift you supervisennAssist Program Manager with solving staff issues, disputes, and completing required paperworknnInstruction and documentation of formal goals and protocols in accordance with the CFA/ISP.nnImplementation of Behavior Plans and all other components of the annual plan.nnEvaluate (monthly) progress as related to short term objectives and formulation of new objectives based on level attainednnAccompany individuals on medical appointmentsnnCompletion of incident reports and (SCIP-R reports)nnParticipate in the development and revisions of formal goals, protocols, and Behavior PlansnnParticipate in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings, attend staff meetings and annual recertification trainingsnnQualificationsnnHigh School Diploma, BA/BS preferrednnOne (1) year experience working with developmentally disabled adults, requirednnValid NYS driver’s license and approved to drive by DDI’s Transportation DepartmentnnWorking knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis and Positive Behavioral SupportnnDDI is committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and employees without regard to actual or perceived race, color, sex, pregnancy, reproductive decision making, gender expression or identity, national origin, disability, military status, creed, religion, age, sexual orientation, marital status, genetic information, status as a victim of domestic violence or any other group protected by federal, state or local law.
