Facilities and Maintenance Technician II -Catawba Nuclear Station
Job Summary
Perform maintenance and repair of non-power block systems, structures, and components to support site operation. Perform maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment to support the site. Ensure maintenance and repair activities are performed in the most cost-effective and timely manner maintain a good working environment for site employees. Some examples of responsibilities include potable water systems, sewer systems, non-power block systems structures and components, fire protection systems and equipment, maintenance and repair of site tools and equipment, eye wash stations, and site doors. Many of these positions have State Licenses/Certifications in their respective disciplines.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform material handling task with forklifts of various sizes and large equipment operation
- Plumbing: All plumbing repairs or upgrades in kitchens, labs, restrooms, office areas
- Sewer Systems: To include Sewage Ejectors, Lift Stations
- Compressors: To include repair/replacement and PM's
- Eye Wash Units: Testing and PMs on Plant Eye Wash Stations
- Shop/Lab Equipment: PM & Repairs to Shop/Lab equipment on site
- Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair on floors, walls, ceilings, doors,
windows, furniture, cabinets, shelves, tables, kitchen equipment, and minor roof repair.
- Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on mechanical components
including but not limited to fire protection sprinkler systems, air lines, pumps, motors and
valves.
Basic Qualifications
F&E Tech II
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to operate forklift and large equipment in a safe and productive manner with 1 year of experience.
- Experience using basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel,
Outlook/email, etc.)
- High school graduate or GED equivalent or equivalent
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills with customers, vendors, management and supporting
personnel
- Experience performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on mechanical
components in an industrial or commercial application
- Ability to have Nuclear Plant Access and Radiation worker clearance
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a safe and productive manor
- Proficient in the use of manufactures manuals, drawings, and procedures
Work Schedule
40-hour work week-Monday-Thursday operating 10-hour days. Ability to support on-call and increased work hours as needed

Pay rate shall be discussed during the interview process. Selected candidate will be eligible for contract specific benefits which include medical, dental, 401k, paid holiday, and vacation time (PTO).
