This position is responsible to oversee training in assigned area(s) and the On-the Job Training (OJT) Process. Activities will include training and coaching OJT Trainers, conducting OJ T observations to ensure adherence to established standards, and maintaining OJT metrics. In addition, conduct other training such as Safety in Motion, Nuclear Safety Qualification Training (NSQT), Site Access Training, and area training. The role will also include ensuring ETAPS department assignments are correct, ETAPS ECL's are current and accurate, and training skill matrices are up to date.
A primary objective is to work with area leadership to identify and address employee and organizational training needs to comply with performance standards and enable the achievement of desired business results.
Your Day to Day:
- Facilitate OJT Training sessions
- Observe and Coach OJT Trainers to ensure adherence to established OJT standards
- Maintain Training metrics
- Facilitate training of operators within an assigned area of the plant
- Coordinate area training plans
- Conduct or assist in the facilitation of Safety in Motion, NSQT, and Site Access Training
- Maintain current and accurate department assignments with ETAPS
- Maintain up-to-date personnel training matrices
- Coordinate training for specific groups of employees based on gaps within the training matrix
- Assist with new hire onboarding
- Recommend cross training opportunities
What you need to be successful in this role:
- High School diploma required.
- Two-year or four-year degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years manufacturing experience
- Knowledge of plant manufacturing systems
- Excellent verbal and written communications, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and use and knowledge of ETAPS
