POSITION: Facility Technician – Part TimennDEPARTMENT: OperationsnnREPORTS TO: Operations ManagernnFLSA STATUS: Hourly / Non-ExemptnnSummarynnASM, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for the Facility Technician for SMG/Charles F. Dodge City Center. This position is responsible for maintenance, general building cleaning, as well as event room/hall set-ups and breakdowns as required by clients.nnEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesnnInclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.nnPerform regular maintenance on all mechanical, emergency, structural, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, general equipment, and other operating systems.nnInstall, repair, and replace mechanical, emergency, structural, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, general equipment, and other operating systems as needed.nnMonitor and operate energy management system, mechanical, emergency, structural, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, general equipment, and other operating systems as required.nnPerform general maintenance in and around the facility to include painting, carpentry, plastering, landscaping, pavement repair, cleaning, and other duties as needed.nnAssist other departments as needed to insure efficient operation of the City Center and City Hall.nnMaintain log on equipment maintenance.nnMaintain inventory; requisition supplies as needed.nnMonitor building condition, report problems.nnAssist vendors with provision of service to events.nnAssist contractors with performance of maintenance contracts and provision of service to building.nnOversee event sub-contractors to ensure safe interface with building systems.nnOperate machinery and use tools as needed.nnProvide technical support in the planning and implementation of events.nnProvide technical and other support in event set up.nnFollow established safety procedures and code of conduct.nnQualificationsnnTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.nnEducation and/or ExperiencennMinimum of three (3) years in the maintenance or construction of a commercial facility.nnHigh School DiplomannSkills and AbilitiesnnWorking knowledge of maintenance or construction trades and practices.nnOrganized, detail oriented, reliable.nnExcellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.nnAbility to take direction.nnAbility to work without supervision.nnAbility to operate tools and machinery to include: forklift, genie lift, scissor lift, scrubber, drills, saws, hand tools, and other equipment as needed.nnComputer SkillsnnTo perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient In Word and Excel and other Office Programs.nnWorking Environment / ConditionsnnThis position requires work inside and outside of the building and some exposure to adverse conditions.nnPhysical DemandsnnThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events. The employee must occasionally lift and/ or move up to 50 pounds.nnUniformsnnFacility Technicians are require to wear SMG approved uniform at all times when in the facility. This includes Shirt (tucked in), Black Pants (Dickies or Jeans), and appropriate foot wear. Exceptions to the uniform must be approved by the Operations Manager.nnEmployees are required to appear as neat as possible when interacting with the public or City Staff.nnAdditional RequirementsnnFacility Technicians are required to carry a radio at all times when in the Facility.nnFacility Technicians are required to check in upon arrival and before departure.nnFacility Technicians must clock in and out on the ADP time clock system.nnFacility Technicians must submit an end of night report that includes times and duties performed during your shift.nnMust be able to work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
