Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Position Summary: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide direct patient care to residents in an assisted living environment. This position is on a per diem basis, offering flexibility for the individual. The LPN will collaborate with the care team to ensure the highest quality of care for residents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed by physicians, following all relevant regulations and protocols.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
- Wound Care: Perform wound care procedures, dressing changes, and monitor wound healing.
- Resident Assessments: Assist with resident assessments and evaluations, providing input on care plans.
- Documentation: Accurately document all patient interactions, procedures, and observations in the electronic medical record.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with residents, families, and other members of the care team.
- Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations and provide immediate medical assistance as needed.
- Compliance: Adhere to all regulatory requirements and facility policies and procedures.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a positive and supportive work environment.
Qualifications: - Current LPN license in good standing.
- Experience in assisted living or long-term care preferred.
