The FeS is responsible for all aspects of customer service, merchandising, and store maintenance, with primary focus on the front end of store operations.nnPrimary Responsibilities:nnGreet and acknowledge every customer as they enter and exit the store and as they approach the front end.nAccurately and efficiently operate the register.nApprove refunds for other Associates up to a specified dollar amount.nAssist with training new Front End Specialists.nBe knowledgeable of all promotions and advertisements to ensure that customer questions can be answered and to assist with selling product; support Ollie's Army and other donation programs throughout the year.nMaintain a neat and organized front end work area.nAssist with receiving the truck, pricing items, merchandising product, and recovering the store.nCommunicate customer needs to Team Leaders when necessary.nMaintain the cleanliness of the overall store.nComplete any additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned.nnQualifications:nnMinimum of six months' retail experience in a mid-size to large retail service-oriented business preferred.nAbility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.nAbility to communicate effectively.nAbility to exercise sound judgment.nAbility to preserve confidentiality of information.nAccuracy and attention to detail.nAbility to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks and activities and work within strict timeframes and deadlines.nKnowledge of industry terms and processes.nOutstanding interpersonal and listening skills.nMust have a positive attitude and the ability to interact well with customers and Associates.nnPhysical Requirements:nnAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.nAbility to push and pull up to 35 pounds.nAbility to stand for extended periods.nAbility to bend and twist frequently.nAbility to grip, reach, and pinch with arms and hands frequently.nAbility to squat, kneel, balance, and climb ladders occasionally.nAbility to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.nnOllie's is an equal opportunity employer.
