We are currently looking for a full-time Hum an Resources Manager to join our team at Premier Veterinary Group in Chicago. This is an on-site position and will support all three of our Chicago area locations - Chicago, Orland Park and Grayslake (soon to be Mundelein).nnThis position is responsible for performing Human Resource (HR) related activities and working closely with the Hospital Directors in each location on key initiatives that drive employee satisfaction, operational excellence and business performance. Provide the tools necessary to uphold our company’s mission statement and culture. The ability to work in a collaborative environment with the ability to partner, coach, and advise is a must.nnESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSnnAssist with the development and administration of programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the hospital and Ethos Veterinary Health.nnDevelop and maintain strong partnerships with management team ensuring HR strategies, processes and practices are implemented in a fair and consistent manner.nnConduct investigations as needed and ensure consistent application of policies and procedures.nnCommunicate hospital policies and procedures to all employees and ensure hospital standards are met.nnProvide purposeful coaching and feedback to all levels of employees, addressing various employee related issues and business needs.nnAct as liaison between staff and management for guidance regarding company policies, practices, and regulations. Provide advice, assistance, follow-up, and documentation.nnEnsure timely onboarding and conduct new employee orientation.nnEnsure compliance with I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification and complete periodic audits of forms.nnAdminister leave of absences in line with relevant employee law.nnAdminister interactive dialogue processes for ADA accommodations process. Advise managers on the ADA process and company obligations.nnComply with federal, state, and local requirements by studying existing and new legislation.nnAdvise department managers and supervisors about the steps in the progressive discipline process and on employment issues.nnDevelop employee engagement activities and work with Hospital Leadership on culture initiatives.nnWork with the hospital director on staff appreciation events and plans.nnAnswer inquiries from inside and outside of Ethos involving employment verification.nnConduct exit interviews in a timely manner.nnAdditional duties as assigned.nnQUALIFICATIONSnnFive plus years of progressive experience in Human Resources positions.nnExperience in a Health Care setting preferred, with veterinary experience desirable (in any role).nnBachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or Organization Development or equivalent preferred.nnProfessional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM-CP certification preferred.nnDetailed knowledge of employment laws and practices.nnExperience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources programs.nnEffective oral and written communication. Ability to present to groups. Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.nnMust have significant employee relations experience.nnMust have significant ADA and FMLA experience.nnFlexibility in scheduling to support 24/7 operations as needed.nnAbility to travel as needed between both of the sites you will support.nnCompensation is based on experience and will range from $80-85K annually.nnThis position will also receive a 10% discretionary bonus.nnEthos Veterinary Health is at the forefront of innovation and world-class medicine.
