Hospice nurses provide end of life care to help ensure the comfort and quality of life for their patients. They primarily work in collaborative, team-driven environments that require frequent communication with their patients, families and other caregivers. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, patient and calm. Hospice nurses are caring and kind individuals who possess a special hospice heart who can help our patients celebrate the rest of their life’s journey.

Responsibilities

Hours of operation: 7am - 7:30pm and EOW

Duties and Responsibilities
n
n - Collaborates with departments and staff across the organization to provide excellent services to the patient.
n - Promptly and efficiently responds to patient related calls.
n - Provides quality professional telephonic intervention to patients based on the Plan of Treatment with regard to the physical, emotional and psychological needs of the patient, within Scope of Practice.

Qualifications
n
A. Education/Regulatory Requirements:
n
n - RN degree from a college or university, accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing and/or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.n
n - Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of Florida.
n
n
n
B. Skills:
n
o Five years of nursing experience.
n
o High degree of initiative and judgment required to plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate Staff performance.
n
o Knowledge of adult learning principles.
n
o EMR software experience a plus.
n
o Demonstrated proficiencies in computer skills.
n
C. Professional Requirements:
n
o Demonstrated experience with oral and written communication which includes public speaking and teaching.
n
D. Language Skills:
n
o Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
