CAU Training - Coordinator 3nnPrint ( Training - Coordinator 3nnSalarynnDepends on QualificationsnnLocationnnBaton Rouge, LAnnJob TypennUnclassifiednnJob NumbernnR-001542nnDepartmentnnUniversity of New OrleansnnOpening Datenn09/10/2024nnDescriptionnnBenefitsnnMinimum QualificationsnnPlease clickHERE ( to apply.nnPerforms lead role for internal training of the Centralized Appeals Unit (CAU).nnLeads the development of training materials for Medicaid policy and procedures, the Louisiana Medicaid Eligibility Determination System (LaMEDS), and appeals process training materials for a comprehensive training program for all CAU employees.nnCommunicates with the CAU Unit Manager regarding unit training on Medicaid policy and procedures, LaMEDS and appeals.nnCoordinates with other Medicaid training units to ensure continuity of messaging and reduction in training overlap.nnParticipates in meetings that are held in the state Medicaid office as needed.nnManages, updates, and maintains a complete catalog of all training materials in the agency’s management system, as well as a calendar of upcoming training sessions.nnCommunicates and promotes training opportunities to CAU staff, manages enrollment in training programs and tracks participation/attendance for Medicaid records.nnMeets with LDH staff to discuss program, policy changes and system updates and their effects on training materials.nnMakes necessary edits to materials and secure approval of all modifications from the CAU Unit Manager.nnReviews final training materials to ensure that they are accurate, complete and that it meets required specifications.nnSecures venues for all classes and workshops to include the coordination of all audio/visual equipment, scheduling of any conference lines or webinar capabilities.nnAttends, contributes, and conducts trainings when requested.nnOther tasks as assigned.nnQUALIFICATIONSnnREQUIRED:nnBachelor's degree, or Associate’s degree plus three years of professional experience or six years of professional experience in lieu of a degree.nnMinimum 2 years professional experience in training, project management, or communications related field.nnMinimum 2 years professional experience with Louisiana Medicaid policy and procedures.nnMinimum 1 year professional experience working within LaMEDS.nnExcellent analytical and critical thinking skills; effective organizational and time management skills.nnGreat attention to detail and follow-up.nnAbility to manage projects, assignments, and competing priorities.nnProficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, and Excel.nnAbility to review and edit written content for accuracy and general proofing/grammar.nnDESIRED:nnMinimum 3 years professional experience in training, project management, or communications related field.nnMinimum 3 years professional experience with Louisiana Medicaid policy and procedures.nnMinimum 2 years professional experience working within LaMEDS.nnMinimum 2 years professional experience with project/program coordination.nnRelevant industry certifications.nnBenefits for unclassified employees are determined by the individual hiring authority.nnAgencynnState of LouisianannAddressnnFor agency contact information, please refer tonnthe supplemental information above.nnLouisiana State Civil Service, Louisiana, 70802nnPhonenn(866) 783-5462nnWebsitenn verify your email addressVerify Email
