This is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact while gaining invaluable experience in diverse specialties.nnWhy Join Our Float Pool?nnEnhanced Pay: Earn an additional $6.00 per hour on top of your base wage.nnVersatile Experience: Float across critical care units and expand your skills with every shift.nnProfessional Growth: Access ongoing education and certifications, including open-heart surgery, trauma care, and preceptorship opportunities.nnSupportive Team Environment: Work alongside a collaborative, high-performing team dedicated to excellent patient outcomes.nnIf you're ready to embrace the challenge, variety, and excitement of floating between units, apply today and become a vital part of the Logan Health team!nnShift Differentials:nnNight Shift: $3.75 per hournnWeekends: $2.25 per hournnWhat You’ll Do:nnProvide top-notch nursing care across ICU, ED, and PCU units, ensuring patient safety and following best practices.nnReact swiftly and confidently to critical situations, handling advanced medical equipment and technology.nnCollaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to deliver effective treatment plans.nnUphold the highest standards of patient privacy, confidentiality, and care.nnQualifications:nnCurrent Montana RN license or a multi-state compact license with authorization to practice nursing within the state of Montana; required.nnMust be adaptable to various inpatient settings, which are determined based on skills, experience, and/or certifications.nnExperience, competency, and certifications as required by units qualified to float.nnCritical Care Float Pool (ICU, Emergency Department, PCU) requirements:nnMinimum of three (3) years ICU and/or ED experience.nnOpen Heart trained or within six (6) months of hire.nnTrained/skilled in two (2) devices in the ICU or within six (6) months of hire.nnPrimary Trauma RN competent or within six (6) months of hire.nnMTP Activation competent or within six (6) months of hire.nnPreceptor certification within twelve (12) months of hirennMust maintain competence to work in all three (3) critical care units.nnApplicable certifications:nnBLS, ACLS required.nnTNCC, ENPC and PALS must be successfully obtained within twelve (12) months of hire.nnBSN degree preferred. National Certification in emergency care and/or critical care (CEN, CCRN, or PCCN) preferred.nnExcellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.nnCommitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.nnExcellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.nnExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.nnPossess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.nnJob Specific Duties:nnExhibits a commitment to professionalism, civility, teamwork, and customer service while undertaking all tasks and interactions with others.nnExhibits knowledge of policies and procedures as they relate to the RN’s specific job duties, patient care population being served, and safety.nnOperates and maintains equipment to departmental standards and exhibits an understanding of the processes for removing a malfunctioning piece of equipment from service.nnMaintains age-appropriate nursing standards of care and executes appropriate physician orders.nnWhile executing patient care, exhibits knowledge of and maintains the patient’s right to diversity, privacy, and confidentiality.nnPerforms a comprehensive assessment of patient on admission and at regular intervals appropriate for the condition of the patient and/or as ordered by the physician/provider.nnPerforms administration of medications, treatments, physician/provider specified care, and intravenous therapy to patients, in compliance with hospital and nursing policies and procedures.nnPerforms reassessment of patient(s) to monitor status, identify changes in vital signs, lab work or status, implement interventions as ordered or defined, and to evaluate patient responses to treatment or therapy in compliance with hospital and nursing policies and procedures.nnCommunicates all appropriate and critical changes in the patient’s condition, status and findings to the appropriate physician/provider in a timely manner or as defined by policies and procedures and/or physician/provider orders. Communication between members of the healthcare team is conducted using SBAR format.nnDocuments all clinical findings and required regulatory mandates in the chart in compliance with hospital and nursing policies and procedures or as defined by regulatory requirements.nnCompletes and demonstrates competency/currency in required yearly unit competencies and educational requirements. Competencies may be required in assigned facilities annually. Complies with and maintains regulatory compliance requirements as defined for the nursing care on the unit/facility and according to organizational standards.nnThe above essential functions are representative of major duties of positions in this job classification.
