Position Overview: As a Buyer, you be will managing the in-bound supply chain for assigned commodities. Your responsibilities will include placing purchase orders, driving cost-saving projects, ensuring timely deliveries, and keeping our inventory optimized. You'll be the go-to expert for our In Plant Store program and play a crucial role in our East Supply Chain EDI integration.
Duties: - Seamlessly place Purchase Orders through MRP system notifications.
- Proactively manage open purchase orders to guarantee on-time deliveries.
- Maintain real-time system data accuracy, enabling reliable customer commitments.
- Utilize negotiation skills to secure the most cost-effective components in the market.
- Ensure rapid resolution of logistical and pricing discrepancies with suppliers.
- Champion the Supply Chain representation in IT for seamless EDI implementation.
- Spearhead the management of requirements for In Plant kitting and expand our on-site Distribution presence.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and experience: - High School Diploma
- Demonstrated proficiency in MRP systems with a keen understanding of their mechanisms.
- Proven negotiation skills with a collaborative and creative approach.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong financial acumen (preferred).
- Problem-solving prowess (preferred).
