Claims Manager - Westchester, NY

Angove Partners is partnering with a global insurance company, seeking a Claims Manager in New York. It’s an exciting time for the business, which is expanding into new jurisdictions and solidifying its position as a market leader in New York.

What will you be doing?

• Communicates professionally and promptly with clients and colleagues at all levels through email, phone, and in-person interactions.
• Collaborates with National Practice Group Leaders in designated specialties to establish and uphold Claim service standards for clients within those areas.
• Oversees the activities of Claim team members, ensuring effective management and advocacy of claims on behalf of clients.
• Serves as a thought leader, working closely with the Claim Managing Director and other Claim Managers on department-wide initiatives.
• Manages team members by conducting performance reviews, overseeing hiring and placement, addressing customer complaints, and handling salary and budget planning.
• Assists in recruiting and developing Claim staff, identifying opportunities for improvement or growth within the team.
• Exhibits advanced technical knowledge of insurance and business practices.
• Displays exemplary leadership qualities.
• Possesses strong problem-solving abilities and applies them effectively.
• Builds and nurtures relationships at the regional level with carriers, TPAs, legal resources, and other partners.
• Maintains a proactive approach to claim resolution, focusing on strategies tailored to assigned accounts and issues.

What do you need to apply to this role?

• At least 8 years of Claims experience.
• At least 3 years of supervisor or leadership experience.
• Expertise knowledge of P&C and Executive Risk Claims.
