C.H. Robinson is seeking a dynamic Principal Instructional Designer to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will provide essential guidance to enhance the learning experience and drive organizational impact for our North American Surface Transportation (NAST) commercial teams. Your expertise in crafting innovative learning solutions and facilitating impactful sessions will shape our approach to learning, address key challenges, and drive business results. You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders to implement effective learning strategies, leveraging adult learning theory and instructional design techniques across various delivery methods. We are also considering candidates who are able to work hybrid from our Phoenix, AZ, Philadelphia, PA, Dallas, TX, and Atlanta, GA office locations.nnResponsibilities:nnThe duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:nnAnalyze learning needs and requirements for complex initiatives, applying instructional design best practices.nnDesign, develop, facilitate and maintain synchronous and asynchronous training solutions based on adult learning principles.nnCollaborate with HR and business leaders to develop training objectives and performance-based outcomes.nnEnsure accessibility of training solutions for all employees.nnPartner with SMEs to provide feedback on adult learning principles and scenario-based learning.nnFollow design standards and branding guidelines, ensuring high-quality work.nnProvide leadership and consulting on instructional design and proactive learning solutions.nnDevelop strategies to address learning and skill gaps, aligning with company strategy.nnBuild strong relationships with stakeholders and consult with HR partners to identify opportunities.nnContinuously improve curriculum based on feedback and stay current on learning industry trends.nnOther duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirementsnnRequired Qualifications:nnBachelor's degree from an accredited college or universitynnMinimum 6 years of instructional design, development and facilitation experiencennAbility to travel up to 25% (domestically and internationally)nnProficient in Microsoft Office of programsnnProficient with Articulate Storyline and Rise 360, Camtasia, and Adobe SuitennExpert knowledge in training methodologies such as adult learning theory, the ADDIE process, Agile methodology, Bloom’s Taxonomy, and the Kirkpatrick Phillip models of evaluation and measurementnnPreferred Qualifications:nnMaster's degree from an accredited college or universitynnPrevious sales or account management experiencennPrevious logistics industry experiencennExcellent collaboration, detail orientation, relationship building, and influence skills in order to achieve desired results; thrives in a team environmentnnAbility to engage and consult with business groups to assess needsnnAbility to convert information into meaningful business context relevant to the learners' needsnnExcellent ability to clearly communicate complex concepts, systems, procedures, etc.nnAbility to design innovative blended learning focused on the holistic learner experiencennDemonstrated experience consulting, influencing without authority, effectively resolving conflict, and thriving in a fast-paced, decentralized, matrixed, global environmentnnExcellent project management skills with strong ability to effectively manage multiple cross-functional projects simultaneouslynnAbility to think strategically and deliver in a pragmatic and efficient waynnContinuous improvement mindset that will help improve the employee experience and organizational effectivenessnnValues a diverse and inclusive work enviornmentnnQuestioning if you meet the mark?
