Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety.
Prioritize and assign maintenance tasks, including equipment repairs, inspections, and installations.
Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of maintenance personnel.
Develop and maintain shift schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for maintenance activities, emergency repairs, and employee absences.
Lead troubleshooting efforts during equipment breakdowns and coordinate quick resolutions to minimize downtime.
Monitor and enforce compliance with safety standards, including workplace and equipment safety regulations.
Conduct regular safety meetings and provide updates on best practices and company procedures.
Ensure timely completion of maintenance documentation, including work orders, logs, and shift reports.
Collaborate with production supervisors and other departments to plan and execute maintenance work with minimal disruption to operations.
Manage inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, ensuring availability for critical repairs while controlling costs.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to optimize maintenance operations.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards for equipment and facility maintenance.
Participate in project planning for new equipment installations and facility upgrades.
Support and participate in root cause analysis for recurring equipment issues.
Perform hands-on maintenance tasks as needed.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Safety and Quality Responsibilities:
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety and quality standards, including SQF (Safe Quality Food) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) requirements.
Promote a culture of safety, ensuring all maintenance personnel follow company safety protocols and procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in all maintenance areas.
