Responsibilities:
n
n- nParticipate in new hire orientation to promote safety, disaster policy and overall safety awareness.n
n- nConduct and document inspection of fire control systems; coordinate monthly fire drills.n
n- nHire, orient and supervise maintenance staff and functions.n
n- nSchedule department hours in keeping with census and labor budget.n
n- nOrder and maintain stock of supplies and equipment.n
n- nPerform maintenance functions as required.n
n- nEnsure the facility physical plant and equipment is maintained in safe and efficient working order.n
n- nRepair equipment and tools as necessary.n
n- nSupervise outside contractors as necessary.n
n- nEstablish and implement preventive maintenance program.n
n- nResponsible for job specific training of department employees.n

Requirements:
n
n- nHVAC experience preferred, but not required.n
n- nExperience with heating and air conditioning, boiler and water systems, washers, dryers, emergency power generators and other basic physical plant and equipment items.n
n- nUnderstanding of principles of preventive maintenance.n
n- nAbility to communicate with staff.n
n- nAbility to work with facility budget.n
