The Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) is recognized as a valuable member of the Acute Care team. The LPN practices under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) and assists patients, while providing a therapeutic environment for patients and their families. Actions are collaboratively coordinated to successfully provide evidence-based patient/family care. Provides nursing practice that reflects the ANA Code for Nurses, Philosophy of Nursing at UnityPoint Health within the structure of the Professional Nurse Practice Model.

- Experience or clinical time in Post-Acute Care or an Acute Care environment.- Preferred
- Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in a primary state. Must apply within 90 days for licensure in a secondary state. - Required
- Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from the date of hire. - Required
- Valid Drivers License. Work may occasionally require travel to other UPH facilities. May drive a UPH vehicle, rental, or own vehicle. - Required
