Job Descriptions:nnPosition Title: Personnel Security Specialist IInnReports To: Program ManagernnClearance Type: Active Top Secret/SCI (willing to take CI Poly)nnWork Location: National Capital RegionnnStart Date: On Contract AwardnnJob Description:nnAdvantage SCI is accepting applications to support a federal agency personnel security program.nnSummary of duties include but not limited to:nnParticipate in the direction, from inception to completion, of complex security assessment investigationsnnConduct/review/analyze a variety of interviews internal and external to the organization.nnProvide support, analysis, and research into complex problems and processes relating to Personal Security.nnAdvise supervisor of potentially controversial matters or those with far reaching implications.nnInitiate or perform extensive indices checks, arrest record checks, and the like to obtain pertinent and identifying information for the cases assigned.nnRequest, receive, review, and analyze various Government files and related material for determination of an individual's potential security risknnSummarize data and compose necessary correspondence for initiation of investigationsnnCoordinate with field offices for the submission of investigation information.nnExamine and critically analyze investigative reports and correspondencennReceive, review, and analyze the results of further investigations, along with the results of interviews and polygraph examinations to ensure that all issues have been resolved.nnSummarize all data provided/developed in a formal written analysisnnEstablish/maintain liaison with other customer offices/divisions, and members of the ICnnCoordinate or work in concert with other customer components as requirednnPerform security assessment investigations and provide recommendations.nnReview and analyze requests for investigations concerning security clearances.nnAssist with briefings and debriefings of individual cases as necessary.nnRequired Experience:nnRequired QualificationsnnCurrent TOP SECRET. Must be SCI eligible and must be willing to pass a security CI polygraph exam.nnBachelor’s Degree with two (2) years’ experience or associate degree with four (4) years’ experience. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, eight (8) years’ federal, state, local or military law enforcement experience is required.nnMinimum of four (4) years of experience developing and writing Reports of Investigation that form basis for creation of investigative record.nnThree (3) years of experience in the personnel security investigative or investigative analyst field.nnExperience conducting and interpreting database checks and credit reports.nnExperience performing routine office administrative support functions.nnDemonstrated analytical ability to critically review and analyze various types of incoming material and investigative reports to discern potential security vulnerabilities and to identify viable investigative leads.nnDemonstrated knowledge and experience to conduct established Federal Government standards for investigations, BIs, and security investigations relating to suitability and security standardsnnProficient computer skills to include Internet use and expert knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)nnExperience with various Federal LE and IC IT systems for conducting automated record checksnnKnowledge of and experience with use of applicable commercial and Federal Government database systems.nnExperience performing database searches for information related to personnel security.nnDistribution and update of personnel security documentation files.nnResponsibility for security of program data and materials.nnProcessing security clearance and BI documentation in preparation for adjudication.nnPreparing documentation for Government agencies and customers.nnExperience performing multiple administrative tasks dealing with databases queries, filing, processing mail, and performing audits.nnExcellent oral and written communication skills.nnDesired QualificationsnnDemonstrated understanding of the following security – related / investigative guidelines:nnFederal Investigative Standards (FISs)nnSecurity Executive Agent Directives (SEADs)nnExecutive Orders (EOs)nnU.S. Code of Federal Regulations (US CFR)nnTrusted Workforce and Continuous Vetting (CV) ProgramsnnWorking Conditions:nnAble to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of timennAble to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reachnnAble to sit, stand, walk, runnnAble to lift up to 50 poundsnnAdvantage SCI, LLC is an Equal Opportunity EmployernnAdvantage SCI is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
