Descriptionnn*$5,000 - Sign-On Bonus for Full-time externals only, pro-rated for Part-time *nnMedical Office RN position floating to Surgical Oncology offices in and around the Poughkeepsie, NY area.nn*nn40 hours per week, Monday-Friday between 8:00am-5:00pm. * LOCATION AND HOURS MAY VARY.*nn*nnSalary Range: $32.64 - $65.01 Hourly + $4 Float Pool Differentialnn**nnSummary: To assist the physician or physician assistant in providing primary medical care to the patients of the Office Practice.nnResponsibilities:nnPrepares materials, supplies, equipment and the patient to assist the physician or the physician assistant with the patient's medical exam.nnObtains the patients history and basic medical data such as vital signs, temperature, height and weight, vision and chief complaint.nnProvides direct patient care, such as ear irrigation, vaccinations and medications, wound care and suture removal.nnCollects, prepares and analyzes patient specimens as directed by the physician or physician assistant.nnInstructs the patient and family on how to perform physician recommended preventive care, take prescribed medication, prepare for tests, monitor treatment progress and note symptom changes.nnContacts the patient by telephone to provide requested follow-up, advise them of test results or relay a physician's instructions.nnPerforms organizational responsibilities to achieve the Practices' and WCMG missions through a process of total quality improvement.nnFulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.nnMaintain and Model Nuvance Health Foundational Values (Personal, Imaginative, Agile, Connected).nnPerforms other duties as required.nnOther information:nnMedical knowledge and terminology.nnComputer skills/data entry (including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook).nnKnowledge of insurance contracts and requirements.nnClinical and business office functions, including direct patient care.nnVerbal and written English proficiency.nnMinimum Experience & Requirement:nnThree years Desired.
