Job Title: Registered Nurse or LPN- LivingstonnnJob DescriptionnnWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for our Livingston location. This role involves working closely with physicians to ensure efficient patient care and flow. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in primary care or hospital settings and be proficient in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as Athena or Epic.nnResponsibilitiesnnCheck daily schedule for patient volume.nnPrepare for patient procedures and organize medications for doctors to administer.nnUpdate EMR and prescription refills.nnReview patient cases and questions.nnPerform manual blood pressure and triage phone calls.nnPrepare buckets and patient files.nnEmploy appropriate and timely use of Tasking in EHR.nnMaintain efficient patient flow.nnFunction as the liaison between patients, staff, and physicians.nnAssure all patients are correctly identified prior to providing and/or documenting care.nnEnsure proper preparation for patient visit, including preparing pertinent information needed.nnProvide referrals and/or consult orders appropriately and in a timely manner in the PMS and EHR.nnCheck and maintain logs for emergency equipment according to policy.nnCollect lab specimens according to departmental guidelines and accurately label specimens.nnObtain and document vital signs accurately and completely as required.nnDemonstrate telephone triage protocols and document in EHR.nnSchedule appointments appropriately and accurately according to department guidelines.nnReview and update medication lists in EHR, demonstrating understanding of prescription control and refill procedures.nnAccurately and completely document known allergies in EHR.nnAppropriately enter orders and schedule appointments in the Practice Management System (PMS) and EHR.nnEssential SkillsnnMinimum of 3 years of experience in primary care or hospital settings.nnProficiency in EMR systems, preferably Athena or Epic.nnAssociates degree in Nursing required; BS in Nursing preferred.nnValid NJ State Nursing License.nnActive BLS certification.nnAdditional Skills & QualificationsnnExperience in outpatient care settings.nnExperience with triage and high volume of medicare population.nnAbility to build long-term relationships with patients.nnWork EnvironmentnnThis role involves 95% administrative and 5% clinical work. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5pm, with some flexibility. The position is initially a contract role with the potential to become permanent after 6 months. The work environment is fast-paced with high patient volume, and you will be part of a small office with a 1-1 doctor ratio for MAs and support roles.
