Regional Event ManagernnJob Reference Number: 24300nnEmployment Type: Full-Time , OnsitennSegment: Dining & EventsnnBrand: Abigail-KirschnnState: New York (US-NY)nnThe Role at a glance:nnWe are looking to add an experienced, motivated Regional Event Manager to our Abigail Kirsch team in New York, NY. The Regional Event Manager for AK Off Premises, Lancer & CCG NY is responsible for supporting the Director of Event Services and Director of Ops while helping to oversee the event service staff for all AK, LancerOP & CCG NY events. This individual will work closely with the staffing manager, culinary team and service team to raise and maintain the overall service standards, ensuring the highest level of guest and client satisfaction. S/he will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operational issues including event planning, execution, staff management and service standards. S/he will work with the Director of Event Services, Regional Director of Operations and Regional Director of Sales in helping to balance excellence in event execution and profitability. S/he must work to promote the Company’s culture, mission and philosophy.nnWhat you'll be doing:nnEVENT EXECUTION:nnSupport the development of Service models for new venues and events.nnRun events at assigned AK OP & CCG NY venues/locations.nnOversee setup and breakdown of FOH and BOH event spaces.nnConduct walk –through of event spaces as needed to support event planning and production.nnCheck in rentals and troubleshoot rental orders shortcomings as needed.nnCoordinate with client and service team on timing of the event.nnMonitor events to consistently deliver profitable, high-level service for all aspects of the event execution.nnDocument and follow up on all notable incidents at events accurately and in detail on Event Report Sheet.nnMaintain and continually improve, update, and implement standardized operating procedures (SOP’s) for the front of the house (FOH) for OP & CCG NY staff.nnWork with Sales & Account Managers / Account Executives to resolve event specific service issues and challenges including walk - through for large/complex events, establishing floor plans, event orders, rental selections, and event timing.nnWork with purchasing and event management to ensure that all beverage systems are meeting standards.nnMonitor beverage controls at events.nnHUMAN RESOURCES:nnAssist in the Hiring, scheduling of new associates. Coach & counsel and conduct performance evaluations of staff.nnAssist Director of Event Services and Staffing Manager in writing and conducting Principle Staffing Evaluations & Captain Reviews.nnAssist in the development and training of staff and act as a resource to them.nnResponsible for recommending or conducting disciplinary action, including termination, of AK OP Event & CCG NY service staff as necessary according to HR company standards.nnAssist in the Development of necessary training programs for AK OP & CCG NY Service associates.nnGENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:nnPerform the function of Event Lead Captain at 3-4 Events per week, This includes tastings, set-ups and Events. Must be comfortable with creating assignments and steps of service for small and large events and capable of running large scale social and corporate events. In addition to Events S/he will be responsible for necessary administrative work.nnCreate and distribute Event paperwork i.e. Captains folders, assignment guides etc.nnWork with the Staffing Manager and staffing admin to enter timesheets into Kronos on a weekly basis for review by Director of Event ServicesnnMaintain and update associate wage, personal information, and status changes in PSCR.nnEnsure all payroll related tasks are complete on time.nnAttend and participate in weekly Ops meeting to ensure effective communication and understanding of event/ client requirements.nnAttend and participate in all scheduled meetings and training sessions.nnFollow proper time keeping policies and proceduresnnFollow the sign in and out procedure for keys.nnKnow and follow all Elior emergency and safety procedures.nnWhat we're looking for:nnMinimum 2 years Event / Banquet or Operations management experience in high volume and quality hotel, catering or hospitality establishment.nnPrior management event execution experience required.nnWorking knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel a must.nnKnowledge of floor and room diagrams software a plus.nnExceptional interpersonal, organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills.nnMust be detail oriented and have a strong ability to multitask appropriate work.nnMust have proven organizational skills and be proactive and effective in problem solving.nnAbility to communicate effectively with associates, management, clients, and vendors when necessary.nnAble to work flexible schedule to accommodate business levels.nnCompensation:nnThe salary is $90k/yr.nnOur Benefits:nnMedical (FT Employees)nnDentalnnVisionnnVoluntary UNUM offering for Accident, Critical Illness and Hospital IndemnitynnDiscount ProgramnnCommuter Benefits (Parking and Transit)nnEAPnn401knnSick TimennHoliday Pay (9 paid holidays)nnTuition Reimbursement (FT Employees)nnPaid Time Off #indeedelior #LIGG1nnAbout Abigail Kirsch:nnStarted in the 1970s as a family-owned catering company, Abigail Kirsch has grown into one of New York’s premier caterers.
