The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Senior Account Representative – Packaging Specialist – NY/PA, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Establishing territory sales goals and utilize appropriate tactics to meet and exceed sales objectives. Work with Marketing and Application Engineering to understand new customer and business development opportunities. Establish and build relationships with key personnel at multiple levels in the buying process to attain territory sales goals. Proactively present new application opportunities to end-users. Generate leads for new business through interactions with end users. Ability to utilize technical equipment to conduct product trials at customer locations to aid in the selling process. Provide input in the development of short- and long-term growth targets that align with existing business plans and strategies for greater territory and account penetration. Take advantage of new sales opportunities through effective time and territory management. Utilize Salesforce.com as the CRM program to evaluate, track and measure new end user opportunities. Develop and implement business plans and programs that increase market coverage and sales. Perform analysis and investigation about product and markets (market insights). Prepare/present reports and presentations (oral/written) required for the position. Prepare and make presentations on product and technology to end users. Company Vehicle This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position. Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires ( at a minimum ) the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution. Five (5) years of outside/field sales experience in a private, public, government or military environment. Three (3) years of packaging product sales experience in a private, public, government or military environment. Current, Valid Driver’s license is required, as you will be issued a company vehicle for this position. Two (2) years' experience working with distribution to fulfill channel needs. Preferred Qualifications: Current, qualified employees 3M will be preferred. Computer skills including Microsoft suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience to work with CRM tools (Salesforce.com preferred). Strong sales/business acumen. Strong selling skills. Technical/Mechanical understanding. Ability to use financial data to drive sales. Work Location: Pennsylvania or New York Work Your Way Eligible: Employee choice to work remote, on site, or hybrid. Sales Territory: Western PA and Western/Upstate NY. Travel: May include up to 50% domestic. Relocation: May be authorized. Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
