Clinical Laboratory Scientist, ELISA Testing

Responsibilities :

• Follows procedures for specimen receipt, handling and processing to ensure specimen integrity.
• Performs ELISA and other clinical testing, and quality control according to established laboratory procedures.
• Records, reviews and verifies test results with all supporting documentation for clinical interpretation.
• Performs regularly scheduled quality control as well as monthly maintenance and calibration of equipment according to laboratory procedures. Performs basic troubleshooting and repair.
• Adheres to policies and safety procedures.
• Contributes to efficient workflow by taking initiative and filling in as needed.
• Performs inventory, restocks laboratory supplies and prepares reagents.

Requirements :

• Must have experience with ELISA testing, preferably in a regulated environment.
• Able to think critically, and collect and interpret information.
• Able to work both in a group setting and independently while demonstrating a high degree of personal and professional initiative.
• Able to follow work plans.
• Adaptable and organized.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications :

• Minimum: Bachelor's degree in a biological or physical science, Medical Technology, or related scientific discipline, and 3-5 years relevant experience.
